Gluconolactone is a natural substance, now found in creams and serums. Gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA), offers all the benefits of AHAs but it is gentle to the skin and is suitable for sensitive skin. The molecules that come together to form gluconolactone are naturally attracted to water. When the ingredient is applied to the skin, these “water hungry” molecules pull moisture out of the air and allow it to be absorbed by the skin. The ingredient may also improve skin cell turnover and function. Gluconolactone provides full-strength anti-ageing benefits without irritation, even for patients with clinically sensitive skin or rosacea, or those who have had cosmetic procedures. Gluconolactone strengthens skin's barrier function, reducing sensitivity to irritants and skin redness over time. THIS IS A NON ACIDIC Vitamin C Product with the same neutral PH to your skin: When using acidic products, like strong retinol, acidic forms of Vitamin C, Glycolic Acids or other strong acid products on your skin, can cause irritation and sensitivity. Excess sun exposure can furthermore irritate the skin and amplify the sun damage even more when using acidic products during long exposures of direct sun; HOWEVER this is a NON ACIDIC skincare product, it does not irritate, nor overly exfoliate, nor sensitize the skin. Therefore This Non Acidic product is safe to use in direct sunlight, but do not recommend for long extended stays in damaging direct sun. We always recommend using an SPF 25 or moreover your skincare regiment, depending on the severity of sun and length of time in the sun, for greater protection and safety.
